I hope everyone is doing well. Its a scary time right now, but it can’t last forever. In the meantime, please stay inside and stay safe! I missed a post this week, but I’d still like to continue to share and do what I love. I hope you find this post informative or entertaining while we all are staying inside.
Today I thought I would share my everyday go-to makeup look. I don’t wear makeup every day, but when I do, this is normally what I do. There are days when I wear more makeup or less, but this is my go-to look that I don’t really have to think about and can do in about 15 minutes (if I’m not interrupted 20 times by my kids!).
Foundation: On an everyday basis, I generally like a light-medium coverage foundation. I don’t like to look or feel like I have a lot of makeup on my face. I have been loving the Pat McGrath foundation in shade 10. It has a beautiful skin-like finish with buildable coverage. I also love the NARS Sheer Glow foundation in shade Fiji.
Concealer: I like to use a higher coverage concealer under my eyes to brighten. I use NARS Radiant Creamy concealer in shade Custard because it gives good coverage, stays in place, and doesn’t crease.
Brows: Pencils are my favorite for filling in my brows. I like using the Benefit Precisely My Brow in shade 4 because I like the thin pencil tip and the color looks really natural. I love that it has a brush on the other end to comb out my brows. I set them in place by using the Anastasia clear brow gel.
Bronzer: I switch between two bronzers. Just whichever one I feel like using that day, but its either the Marc Jacobs Omega Bronzer in shade Tan-Tastic (what I wore here), or the original Benefit Hoola bronzer. I use it on my cheekbones and forehead, and a little on the sides of my nose for a little definition, not necessarily to contour. I also like to use a little on my neck just to make sure everything matches and it blended.
Highlight: The highlighter that I almost always reach for is the NARS highlighter in shade Fort de France. Its a beautiful champagne shimmer, without being glittery at all. I use it on the high points of my cheekbones and above my eyebrows.
Eye Shadow: I always start off with eye primer. My eyelids get really oily (even though the rest of my skin is more dry), so I need something that will keep my shadow in place. The NARS Eyeshadow Primer is my favorite. I like to use the tinted version to cancel out any darkness on my lids. I use it even if I don’t wear shadow just to even them out. For a really quick and easy look to just give some definition, I just use my bronzer and highlighter that I used on my face. I put the highlighter all over the lid and inner corner, and put the bronzer in the crease and under my lower lash line.
Mascara: My two go-to mascaras are both from IT Cosmetics. I haven’t tried much for their line, but their mascaras are amazing! I go between both the Superhero mascara and the Lash Blowout mascara (worn here). I do find that the Superhero will sometimes smudge on me, but Lash Blowout never does.
Lip Color: YSL Rouge Volupte Shine is my go-to everyday lip color. They give great color and shine, while also being moisurizing. They’re easy to apply, even without a mirror and no lip liner required. 47 is my favorite, but I also love 44 and 9. I always have one in my bag at all times.
